Types of Roofs

• Built-Up: A flat or low-sloped roof that consists of many layers of both asphalt and ply sheets.

• Mansard: Another roof type with four different sides, but these planes have two different pitches. The lower plane is typically steeper than the upper. There are no gables.
• Shed: This roof has only one sloping plane. It therefore has no hips, ridges, gables or valleys.
